Dinner With The Dean

You’re good at leading. But it should not be costing you this much.

You can be deeply committed to your work and still know the way you’ve been carrying leadership isn’t sustainable.

The Regulated Leader Diagnostic is being created for experienced women in K–12 leadership who want to remain effective without losing themselves in the process.

You do not have to care less, lower your standards, or leave leadership. You may need a different way to carry it.

If leadership follows you home, this may be for you.

  • You are the person everyone relies on.
  • You solve problems before other people fully own them.
  • Your workday ends, but your mind stays at work.
  • You carry responsibilities, emotions, and urgency that may not all belong to you.
  • You still want to lead — you just know the current version is not sustainable.

The goal is not to become less committed. It is to remain effective without giving leadership everything you have.

A clearer way to see what leadership is costing you.

The Regulated Leader Diagnostic is being designed to help you identify the leadership patterns that may be keeping you overextended, carrying too much, or unable to fully disconnect — and give you a clearer starting point for changing them.

01

See what’s actually draining you

Identify the patterns that keep leaving you overextended, mentally carrying work, or responsible for too much.

02

Understand what needs to change

Separate the responsibilities leadership genuinely requires from the ones you’ve learned to automatically carry.

03

Leave with a place to start

Get clarity about practical changes that could make leadership more sustainable without lowering your standards.

This is not about caring less.

Dinner With The Dean is built for capable leaders who are not looking for permission to stop caring. The work is about learning how to lead with commitment, discernment, boundaries, and greater capacity — without disappearing inside the role.

“I am not teaching leaders how to care less. I’m teaching them how to carry differently.”

Created for women who still want to lead.

This early-access experience is being developed for experienced women working across K–12 leadership — including school, instructional, and system-level roles — who recognize themselves in the tension between being highly effective and paying too much personally for that effectiveness.

If you’re an experienced woman working in K–12 leadership and this sounds familiar, we’d like to hear from you. Your experience will help shape the first beta of The Regulated Leader Diagnostic.

Built from decades inside the work.

Dinner With The Dean was founded by Shanique Clement, a K–12 education leader with nearly 30 years of experience across teaching, instructional leadership, school leadership, consulting, higher education, and serving as a school principal.

The Regulated Leader work grew from both professional experience and firsthand examination of what happens when highly capable, deeply committed leadership becomes personally unsustainable.

You do not have to leave leadership to change the way you lead.
